Located near Medicine Hat, Red Rock Nursery Ltd. has been in container forest seedling production since 1991.
Overview
- 9 million container seedlings capacity
- 23,000 square meters of greenhouse space spread over four ranges
- Majority of crop is summer and spring stock consisting of Spruce and Pine for reforestation, along with shelterbelt species such as Aspen and Colorado Spruce
- Fully equipped with:
- full gravel under benching;
- nutrient injection systems; and
- 100% boom irrigation allowing for optimum environmental controls and crop uniformity.
- In addition to the first class growing, Red Rock Nursery has an onsite cold storage facility that offers cold storage and thawing services
